SVN **Intermittent Issue**

Issue : We are experiencing an intermittent issue in Subversion. This is not an outage, but is completely random and popping up with the following error message when you do SVN activities (Check-in or Check-out).

Error retrieving REPORT: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Given the nature of the issue and it is extremely random & intermittent, it is taking time for us to reproduce, and narrow down the actual cause. We have our best resources working on this as their highest priority, to identify and fix this permanently. We have made substantial progress and have narrowed down to where this is failing but we are still troubleshooting what is causing the error. We regret the inconvenience this has caused.

UPDATE:  We have narrowed down the issue to be specific to the Load Balancer. But we are still unsure on what exactly is causing this issue within Load Balancer. We are also trying various work aroundS internally to fix this including trying a different Load Balancer. We are on top of this and regret the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your co-operation and will keep you updated.

Ok cool. By the way my coworker still got problems with HTTP. But to me and second coworker, switching to HTTP helped! So I think the issue is really random and hard to find.. wish you best luck!

Any indication at all on when you would like to have this issue resolved?  1 week? 1 month? 1 year?

For those of us who are experiencing this issue, is there any information we could provide that would help you track it down?

Should we log an issue, even though you are already aware of it?

Should we report each occurrence, along with the time and SVN URL we are using?

We have opened a ticket for this issue on the 11th of this month already, issue started around the 8th. This work around gives issues also more often than not.

We keep on getting please share the errors etc but other than that, cloudforge doesn't seem to be doing much as no one is updating progress on the issue at hand anyways.

We started seeing this issue on July 17th, 2014. Though it is happening much more frequently now.

    All,

We have narrowed down the issue to be specific to the Load Balancer. But we are still unsure on what exactly is causing this issue within Load Balancer.
