Converting PuTTY private keys to OpenSSH format

 For a number of our services, we ask you to provide a private SSH key. For PuTTY users, this can cause an issue as we do not use the PuTTY-keygen format. Here is how you can convert your PuTTY key to OpenSSH format:

    Open your private key in PuTTYGen
    Top menu “Conversions”->”Export OpenSSH key”.
    Save the new OpenSSH key when prompted.

    PuTTYGen seemed to say it was producing an OpenSSH file but it was only when I exported the key as above that it finally worked.
